Love Dose Presents: For No Reason w/Sven Weisemann + Gratts

Rewind to 2006….

While many people were drowning Ronaldo inspired World Cup sorrows, or creating Facebook profiles for the very first time, in a small RnB club down a Preston side-street, For No Reason opened its hedonistic doors for the very first time. For the best part of a decade FNR brought a plethora of talent to a range of strange spaces in Preston, quenching the underground thirst of it’s loyal patrons on a monthly basis. Move D, Jeremy Underground, Chez Damier, Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles, Adam Shelton and Subb-an all graced the sacred FNR tiles.

After losing our favourite venue in a mysterious owner disappearance (it’s a long story…) and after one of our much adored residents, Seelie jetted off to pastures new in Manchester (and later the Far East), we had our last party in an illegal Warehouse on the docks.

FNR slowly faded out of the spotlight only to return in nostalgic smirks or glints in the eye.

Fast Forward to 2012….

An extended group of the Lancashire For No Reason family hopped 30 miles down the M61 to create an event, label and brand that carried the spirit of FNR in a new Mancunian guise. Love Dose was formed with a vision to build an international platform for our DJs and label artists and to create a safe and inspiring space for our lovers to dance.

This August Bank Holiday we put on a party that fuses the essence of both parties. This will be the final outing of For No Reason; a much loved night.

Love Dose Presents : For No Reason – The Closing Party with Sven Weisemann + Gratts

This party is a nod to a party that inspired Love Dose. We have created a lineup that combines old and new – For No Reason residents Seelie, Lewi Scandal and Moniker will be joined by Love Dose residents Kerouac and Efenar in support of an artist that we are very excited about.

Sven Weisemann explodes into the Love Dose consciousness with a 2012 set at Sonar that completely blew our heads off. We’ve wanted to book him ever since. Buzzing with landing him!

Joining Sven is Belgian born, Berlin based Gratts. Gratts has spent the best part of two decades lugging bags of records around Europe and latterly Asia and Australia. He joins us in the Whisky Jar off the back of a sublime new Icarus Traxx EP which is being championed by the likes of Hunee, Young Marco and San Soda.
